  1. Applicants must hold all required certifications, licences, registrations and qualifications (including but not limited to current Certificate to Practice, registration as a paramedic, and a current NSW Driver Licence) and be currently certified as a Paramedic Specialist (ECP) and undertake necessary and relevant training and work experience as determined by NSW Ambulance.
  2. Computer literacy with demonstrated ability to learn and operate new and existing electronic patient records, data terminals etc. Ability to use information and communication relevant technology.
  3. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and written communication skills, especially in regard to clinical documentation and referral to relevant community and health professionals.
  4. Demonstrated clinical reasoning, research, analytical and problem solving skills for the assessment of patient needs, review of patient health care records and determination of best care alternatives.
  5. Demonstrated ability in working as a part of multidisciplinary teams and an interest in working as part of the program development team.
  6. Demonstrated ability to organise, establish priorities and manage referrals from other staff.
  7. Knowledge of quality improvement and patient safety and a willingness to participate in clinical audit and research. Knowledge and experience in applying the Code of Conduct and privacy legislation requirements.
