Trainee

1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
2. Or Medical Council of New Zealand. Commitment to pursue training towards fellowship of the RCPA or extension of scope for those already holding FRCPA in another discipline. Has the right to permanently reside and work in Australia or New Zealand and/or meets any applicable visa conditions.
3. Demonstrated relevant previous clinical experience with a minimum of two years or clinical experience post primary medical degree; and/or hold and Overseas Trained Specialist determination issues by RCPA.
4. Demonstrated ability to provide medical education, teaching, training and support for students and other staff, as appropriate
5. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with science, medical students, junior doctors and staff at all levels. Ability to work effectively as a team member in a multidisciplinary team.
6. Demonstrated organisation and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage matters of patience safety and quality of care.
7. Ability/ Knowledge - understanding of essentials of modern genetics. Quality assurance skills - understanding of quality assurance principals.
8. Support basic laboratory, translation, and clinical research, as appropriate to the department.
