- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category
- Completion of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians written and clinical examinations and the requirements of an advanced trainee or equivalent (completed or working towards)
- A minimum of 4 years satisfactory full-time post-graduate experience, including recent demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner in an Australian Health System or the relevant Competent Authority pathway. 3-6 months experience in a relevant sub-specialty or equivalent is preferable.
- Demonstrated commitment to pursue a career in Medical Oncology or Cancer Genetics and the capacity to complete a training program.
- Demonstrated willingness to undertake further training in cancer genetics
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
- Demonstrated ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, with a willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff.
